This is a process for monitoring a security policy and is used by management and auditors to ensure their requests are met.  It also includes mapping security standards (COBIT; ISO 17799; SOX) to server settings and security policies.

 

For this solution we use PowerTech Compliance Monitor software. 

 

It is easy for any one with Windows skills to use.  Designed for managers with responsibility for corporate governance but not necessarily skilled with System i administration.  Custom reports can be saved and printed in PDF format, maintaining a record for audit.  For those users who prefer guidance, Compliance Monitor ships pre-populated with a recommended set of audit reports.

 

Powertech's Compliance Monitor enables the reporting of security status against corporate policy. Any exceptions are highlighted in easy to read scorecard reports.
