Network Security

Network Security is designed to stop inappropriate use of the system by people within and outside the firewall.  Securing any network infrastructure is like securing possible entry points of attacks on a country by deploying appropriate defence.

A firewall protects an internal network from Internet access; but it does not protect the system from internal access or provide any system audit trail.  The majority of data loss and theft occurs from within the firewall.  The only way to protect the server from the inside is through the implementation of security policies through monitoring exit points and allowing access to those users that have appropriate authorisation.

Our Offer
A service where through a discovery process we come to understand the requirements and map that back to an appropriate solution.

Typically the solution will involve a software package that uses exit-point programs for monitoring network traffic to the iSeries.  Depending on the requirements unauthorised services are rejected, based on defined security policies.  Allowed services are silently monitored, recording details about each file access and each command executed.
