Software Upgrading

Assisting with change management involved in Operating System upgrades.
 
Perform upgrade of registered IBM software to next release, including all recommended preparatory and post-upgrade work:
  • Ordering upgrade package from IBM
  • Completing recommended preparatory work, such as ordering, loading and applying pre-requisite PTFs
  • Verifying media
  • Reviewing documentation and highlighting potential impacts to the site
  • Saving system and IBM libraries (if requested)
  • Installing required release of software
  • Installing latest PTFs
  • Completing 1 x iSeries Access for Windows  client update
  • Saving system and IBM libraries (if requested)
